N Scale or N Guage is a very popular size of model train, being 160 times smaller than the prototype (the real train) this scale has proved to be one of the most efficient scales in terms of price and layout possibilities as it is able to fit in smaller space than all other scales including HO, HOn3 and O. N Scale has been around since the 1970's when first produced by the model manufacturer Arnold of Nuremburg Germany. Now almost 20 different manufacturers produce N scale models.
